Scarcity and human preference: A multi-methods investigation
Abstract:
In this talk, I study the effect of resource scarcity on people’s motivations to acquire resource and avoid waste. These motivations further interact to impact people prosocial tendencies and taste preferences. I use the combination of lab experiment, field experiment, survey and secondary data to test the proposed framework.
